The team has long been engaged in research on seismic data interpretation, pre-drilling prediction of shallow geological hazards in deep water, and integration of geology and engineering. The team has hosted or participated in 2 general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, 4 major national science and technology projects, and over 100 other research projects at provincial/ministerial levels or commissioned by oilfields, including Research on Parallel Visualization Technology for Massive Seismic Data Based on GPU, Research on Reservoir Prediction Techniques for Weak Seismic Reflection Signals in Huabei Oilfield, andSmart Agriculture System Under Cloud Platform.
The team has published 10 academic monographs and textbooks, over 200 papers in leading domestic and international journals such as IEEE Access, IET Image Processing, IET Biometrics, IET Signal Processing, Electronics Letters, Sensors, and Journal of Computer Applications. They hold 20 national invention patents, 8 utility model patents, and 15 software copyrights, and have won 5 science and technology progress awards.
The team has supervised 5 national-level undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship projects, 3 of which were recognized as excellent. These projects were selected for the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Annual Conference for three consecutive years (2019–2021). Their students have won 5 awards in national competitions such as the "Challenge Cup" and "Internet+" contests, including 2 national bronze awards, 2 provincial first prizes, and 3 provincial second prizes.
